Las Vegas grew up around the Stardust Hotel and Casino 62 tropical
and desert acres on the north end of what became known as The Strip.
Here, traditional Las Vegas still exists: a larger-than-life entertainer
(Wayne Newton) who still performs here 40 times a year, a mahogany-paneled
steakhouse, a softly-lit lounge offering musical acts, an elegant
casino, and sundecks and pools to restore and refresh after all-night
entertainment.
Located on the Strip, the hotel is a half-mile from Fashion Show
Mall. Big bands jam in the Stardust Ballroom, dice roll in the casino,
and, outside, tropical gardens and coconut palms surround a free-form
pool, lap pool, and 10-person spa tubs. Accommodations are all equipped
with air conditioning, and other amenities include pay movies, in-room
safes, and cable TV. Non-smoking guestrooms are available upon request.
This hotel offers 1,552 rooms in two- and nine-story wings and a
32-story tower. Rooms are decorated with warm gold tones and dark
wood furnishings, including armoires, dining tables, and vanities.

Driving directions from McCarran International Airport
(LAS):
Approximate driving time is 12 minutes and distance is 5 miles.
Exit the airport via Swenson St and turn left on E Tropicana Ave.
After about 1.5 miles, turn right on Las Vegas Blvd S. Drive
another 2.3 miles to the hotel.
Getting there: The best option from the airport is a taxi
($5–$15; fees subject to change without notice) or rental car.
Getting around: There are many options for guests
traveling along the Strip. City buses (less than $5) run the
length of the Strip; private trolleys (less than $5) serve the
larger casinos. Many guests choose to walk. Taxis are readily
available, and guests who drive will find complimentary parking at
most locations. For destinations outside the Strip, a rental car

This 3-mile section of Las Vegas Boulevard is the city's bustling
primary tourist destination. Impressive casino resorts house major
attractions, dining, shopping, nightlife, and entertainment venues.
