The Sahara Hotel and Casino opened its doors in
1952 and quickly established itself as one of Las Vegas' most
exciting destinations. Today, thanks to a 100 million-dollar
renovation project, the Sahara has recaptured its original
splendor. The property now offers 1720 guestrooms, a lively 95 000
square-foot casino, a sparkling pool in an exotic setting, five
exceptional restaurants and a buffet that may be the best tasting
value on the Las Vegas strip. The 950 seat Sahara Theater,
featuring world class magician Steve Wyrick, the 75 000 square
foot Nascar Cafe, including the fast-pace excitement of the
virtual reality race car attraction- Cyber Speedway and exciting
new state-of-the-art roller coaster, speed the ride opened in
early 2000. Approaching 50 years of Las Vegas history, the Sahara
has hosted many of the eras most celebrated performers including
Ann-Margret, Johnny Carson, Tina turner and in 1967, it was the
Sahara that brought the Beatles to Las Vegas. The Sahara offers

The Sahara offers 1,108 deluxe rooms in the Tangiers Tower.
Brightened by jewel-colored fabrics, guestrooms include dining

Surrounded by a sundeck graced by palm trees and gentle fountains,
a large, heated pool provides pleasure during spring, summer, and
late autumn. A 15-person spa beneath a filigreed wrought-iron dome
offers social soaking next to the pool.
The 1,720-room Sahara features a Moroccan theme adorned with
graceful Moorish accents such as peaked domes and jeweled light

Driving directions from McCarran International Airport:
Approximate driving time is 15 minutes and distance is 5 miles.
Exit the airport via Swenson St. Turn left on E Naples Dr, then
right on Paradise Rd. Turn left onto E Sahara Ave and the hotel is
on the left.
Getting there: The best way to get to the hotel is by taxi
($5–$15; fees subject to change without notice) or rental car.
Getting around: Guests have many options for
destinations on the Strip. City buses (less than $5) run the
length of the Strip, and there are private trolleys (less than $5)
that serve many of the larger casinos. Many guests choose to walk.
Taxis are readily available, and guests who drive will find
complimentary parking at most locations. For destinations outside
the Strip, a rental car is the best option. The hotel offers

This 3-mile section of Las Vegas Boulevard is the city's bustling
